Perhaps one of the most ubiquitous poster of our time but this poster never began life that way. It was the third in a series printed by the British Ministry of Information, to be used in case the Germans invade Britain. As the invasion never took place, these posters were destroyed and forgotten after the war. That is, until a bookseller stumbled upon a copy of the original poster amongst a pile old books nearly 60 years later. The rest, as they say, is history. This story somehow parallel the lost and found of mechanical watches, doesn't it? How fitting that we pay a little tribute on our roll.
